Wait, I thought you were only going to knock him out? When did we escalate to stabbing?!

[He's definitely giving Tetora a wary look, stopping in the middle of the hall. He's definitely not going to lead him anywhere if he's hostile.

Tetora's also lost a valuable opportunity to trip him, for now.]

I can't stab anyone anyway, I don't have a knife. It's just me and my hands here.

[ because while it's not entirely outside the realm of possibilities, it's... also a little hurtful, whoah. tetora stops along with 9s, and now there's two dumbasses in the middle of the hall having a stare-off. ]

Dude, I'm not gonna kill your friend.

Nooo? I mean, not until you brought it up first? [9S starts, honestly looking just as confused as Tetora. He rests his shoulder against the wall, heaving a sigh. This is all pretty exhausting. His head's starting to pound.]

If you tried to hurt him, I'd have to detain you, so-- Huh? My friend...?

[He squints, then widens his eyes.] Oh, you mean...

[ tetora shoves a hand at 9s this time, and it's not a gentle shove; 9s sways with the force of it, but doesn't trip over. tetora's trying to make a point here, and 9s is proving it. ]

You're a lot sicker than I am - especially for a so-called android - and you're going to detain me? How? You're gonna overheat at me?

[ tetora slings 9s's arm over his shoulders-- and what the hell, he's heavier than he looks. why? ]

Come on, tell me how to get to the med bay so I can stop watching you slow dance yourself to a coma.

[He stifles a noise as he's shoved, brow pinched together as he watches Tetora. He's not hostile--not even frustrated--just confused.]

That's not-- H-hey! [9S staggers as he's pulled forward, his arm thrown over Tetora's shoulder. He puts all his weight on him for a moment, as he's forced to re-orientate himself.]

You never even told me what kind of drugs you're looking for... [Being this close, the heat coming off of 9S is impossible to miss, and as his head slumps, his vision flickers.

Ah. This isn't good.]

[ don't be dead weight, don't be dead weight - tetora isn't in the mood to literally haul ass here, 9s. he hitches the other man a little higher, and shakes him to be more alert. ]

It doesn't matter right now, don't fall asleep on me yet. We're not anywhere near this medbay. Don't make me slap your face!

Come on, which direction do we go?

[The body heat coming off of Tetora is only making 9S' situation worse, but at this point he's already so exhausted that he can't bring himself to pull away. He lifts his head again as he's shaken, and exhales a deep breath.]

What a pain... [He grumbles.] Down the hall. Left-hand side.

Oh, you're complaining about pain? You're a heavy motherfucker.

[ down the hall, left-hand side they go, though, with tetora being fairly noisy about it. he doesn't have to hike 9s up any higher, but he does it one more time just to jostle the guy a little. ]

We're here. Are you still awake? I'm going to drop you if you're not.

I told you I'm an android.

[Maybe that will be enough to convince him. If not, oh well.

When they enter the sterile, stale air of the medbay 9S lifts his head again and finally drums up the energy to pull away. He staggers back a few steps before regaining his balance, and then makes his way over to one of the cabinets.]

Somewhere in here... Maybe?

[ saying things out loud does not make them true all the time!

tetora lets go of 9s as he pulls away to do his own thing, and then tetora's rummaging around as well, going through cabinets and drawers and looking for anything with an rx label that he could peruse. so far... no luck. he must be checking the wrong side. ]

I'm having shit luck on my end. What about you, you see any?

Umm, well... You still haven't told me what you're looking for?

[He only just realized that now, after having moved on to his second drawer.]

oh yeah. oops. tetora berates himself a bit before answering, quietly closing the drawer he currently has open. ]

Anti-psychotics. Psychotropics. Hallucinogens work too, in a pinch.

[9S' weary expression narrows just enough to express his dubiousness.]

What happens if you don't have those?

[ tetora levels a Look at 9s that's both withering and confused in return. ]

I die. That's the whole reason why drugs exist, to keep people from dying.

[His eyes widen with alarm. His experience with drugs wasn't nearly as grave.]

Oh... But, what if we can't find any?

[ tetora answers as flippantly as possible: ] Then I die.

It's really that simple. Nice knowing you, et cetera.

... [9S looks back down at the drawer he was sifting through.]

I'll keep looking. [That's all he can do, but they can tear the place apart, and they'll never quite find what Tetora's looking for.

Over an hour into their search 9S sucks in a sharp breath.] Ah--

[And he hits the floor.]

[ 9s hits the floor and tetora stares at him, blinking for a moment before making a face. does he leave him on the floor? does he pick him up? he's heavy enough as it is, what more now that he's gone slack?

he briefly considers drawing dicks on 9s's face before dismissing it, considering that he's going to have to look for a pen to do it. ]

I can't believe this... [ he takes hold of 9s under the armpits and lifts him that way, dropping him with a loud grunt on one of the metal beds. ] Why are you so heavy?!

[9S doesn't answer Tetora's question, because he's not conscious. That's the unfortunate thing about forced shutdowns.

Due to his high internal temperatures, 9S won't turn on again until he's fully cooled down, and that could take awhile.]

[ tetora tests it out, prodding 9s on the face, and then on the chest. he slaps the other on the belly, before getting distracted by the other's hair.

the idea to draw dicks on the other's face persists - and so tetora backs away for a bit to look for a marker. he finds what seems like an OHP pen, tests it on his thumb, and then he's doing the dirty dick deed on the other's cheek.

it's a masterpiece. it's beautiful and it brings a tear to the eyes. ]

[Wow, talk about disrespect for someone's personal space. 9S would be offended if he were awake! But he's not, so Tetora gets away with his curiosity and his dick drawing. It's about ten minutes later that 9S starts to stir again, first with a small groan as he sluggishly moves on the table.

He pulls one knee back, and blearily opens his eyes.] Where am I...?

[ for his part, tetora's found a chair to spin around in and is zooming around the room like a child. there's also a knife in his hand, having found one already. it's technically a scalpel, but hey, pointy things. ]

You're in hell. You've died and come back to live your worst nightmare. Welcome to eternal suffering.

What's up.

[He lets out a quiet scoff.] Hell's not real... Even if it is, we androids couldn't go there.

[Heaven was real though, at least in Crow's world. It made him wonder, or it would, but his mind's in too much of a fog. He slowly sits up and rubs his head.]

How long was I out?

How would you know if you're not in hell, though?

[ it's a legitimate question - if they're all dead, that is. tetora spins in his chair, prodding his fingers with the tip of the scalpel. ]

You were out for a few minutes. Nothing exciting. How are you feeling?

How wouldn't I? We're clearly in the medbay...

[He makes a wry face.]

My systems have cooled off, but emergency shut downs aren't something you really want to happen. Emergency's right there in the name. I'm going to have to perform a systems check and make sure nothing was corrupted.
